Emissions Monitoring Equipment
Fired equipment, including boilers, furnaces and fired heaters, emit a variety of gases into the atmosphere that result from the combustion of carbon based fuels. These flue gas byproducts, including Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Carbon Monoxide (CO) can be harmful to the environment. The environmental authorities mandate that harmful emissions should be curbed approved levels and monitored to guarantee compliance. A variety of technologies can be used to monitor harmful emissions in the flue gas including Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and standalone analyzers for NOx, CO and particulates.
